With all due respect for the Irish Blessing, I do not want the road to rise up to meet me. I want the road to stay right where it is. I prefer to be the one doing the moving. I do not want the wind to always be at my back. It seems that would cause a lot of chapping and chafing. And if I turned around a lot, it might cause some crazy wind currents. And, of course, I like to go inside at times where there is neither win nor sun. Most importantly, I would like for God to figuratively hold me in the palm of his hand long after we meet again so I don't have to avoid you.
